Azrael Valentine is the co-founder and co-owner of Guillotine Romance, an online arts and entertainment company dedicated to the strange, macabre, and mysterious. His wife, Cordelia Valentine, is the other half of this project. Together, they are the parents of the Gloomwood Children (Loki, Morgynn, Whysper, and Jynks).

As a child, he loved being frightened. The tales of Edgar Allan Poe inspired him to begin a career in writing. As a teen, Azrael discovered the strange tales of H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, Anne Rice, Bram Stoker, and many more. All of these great masters inspired him to create with world.

Then, about eight years ago, he picked up his first camera - a cheap little 3MP point and shoot HP. Despite the poor resolution, Azrael was amazed at being able to capture what he saw for eternity and began photographing everything. He began sharing these images on deviantART, an art sharing and appreciation website, where he discovered photo-manipulation.

Since then, he's worked at honing his skills as a writer, photographer, and digital artist. His poetry has appeared in Aoife's Kiss and his art is gaining a following. His skills continue to grow and his imagination constantly brings new art to life.
